Brimfield TweetUp meets The Paint Can

This morning you could feel a bit of a chill in the air.  Does that mean fall is around the corner?  I’m not quite sure where my summer went, but each year it appears to rush by a little bit faster.  Luckily, one of the best things about September, is the Brimfield Antiques Market.  I’ve attended for years, but 2011 is especially exciting because I will be attending the Brimfield Tweetup. An event organized by Gretchen Aubuchon Design and The Daily Basics.What’s a TweetUp? you say. Well I can’t be sure, as this is my first, but if the photos I’ve seen of my new Twitter friends is any indication, it’s guaranteed to be a lot of fun! There will be a VIP tent, television and print home and style celebrities, and demonstrations by the very generous sponsors.  Oh and of course, cocktails.
But I digress, back to the task at hand.  When I first read this post by Suerae Stein over at Red Barn Artworks, I really related to it.  Color, recycling, decor-it had all the elements I like.  Then when I learned Benjamin Moore {I like to use their eco friendly paints on all my jobs} was one of the sponsors for the Brimfield TweetUp, I thought it perfect to combine the two subjects and Suerae was kind enough to let me reprint part of it. I especially love the photo she created at the bottom.

Who knew paint cans can even make beautiful works of art? The above is an image I took from Google Images and added (believe it or not) a paint effect. I don’t know about you but I’m kinda loving it! If you click on any of the images above you will be taken to their original sites.
Most of my inspiration for this post came from a website called Pinterest. Yup, I’m a proud “Pinner” and you should be too! If you’re not familiar with Pinterest, it’s a very cool social imaging site that shares images from the internet. All images are credited to the original owner, so it’s a great way to share ideas, photos, art, products, etc., while promoting others.
