Did anyone catch the Christmas episode of Glee last night? Lots of song and dance to get you into the spirit. The theme was an homage to The Judy Garland Christmas Special with the kitsch factor cranked way up. Lots of 60’s esque singing and dancing, guests dropping by and canned laughter from the audience. Oh and a little fake snow thrown in to boot. Surprisingly they tossed in a song that takes me down memory lane, back to my favorite movie-The Sound of Music. I thought it would be fun to take you on a visual tour through the lyrics, courtesy of the ever obsessive and time absorbing Pinterest.
Have fun…I’ll start you off & see if you can make it through…Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad {lyrics by Rodgers and Hammerstein}
