The Award Winning Combo from Roca
The use of grey water technology is an idea whose time has come. In many towns {like mine} this use is currently illegal. But with time and more good looking designs coming to the market, I do think that the practice is something that eventually will be universal. This fantastic design by Roca, needn’t be relegated to those spots with a lack of floor space. Their outside the box creative thinking is good looking enough to be placed in the chicest of designed spaces!
W+W from Spanish bathroom manufacturer Roca is a rather unusual design with a number of unique features and benefits. Washbasin + Watercloset, designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, is a washbasin that has been combined with a toilet to create one practical and innovative new product for the bathroom.

The innovative configuration of the W+W can make that once hard to renovate space come together more easily. Floor plans will have more flexibility of placement, as more square footage is available.

The W+W unit combines functionality and water saving benefits with an attractive design. The fact that it attaches to the wall, rather than the floor is a big plus for me, allowing for much easier cleaning under the unit.

The focus on sustainable, eco-friendly design features Roca’s water-reuse technology; the unit reuses waste water from the washbasin to fill the toilet reservoir, thereby reducing total water usage in the bathroom by up to 25%.
Of course, great design and technology doesn’t come cheap. The $3000.+ price tag limits the market and distribution. But I do believe that in time, this type of water saving design will be a part of our thinking. Can you imagine this fixture in your newly renovated bathroom?
