Armchair Travel V 4

Here's a peek of where I traveled on the web this week.

  • These abandoned buildings are the things set designers dream of and cities dread. Decaying, layered, mysterious and beautiful, each has a story behind the facade.
  • Inside Kitchen Portraits from Roads and Kingdoms, get an insiders look into how we use our cabinets.  Fascinating peek if your're even the slightest bit snoopy.
  • Three Musketeers Anyone? The cuisine of  Gascony is having a major moment.  Ready your tastebuds.
  • Weekends are made for romance right?? Afar has a wonderful Wanderlist World of Romance compiled by Erica House with the perfect combination of beautiful scenery, new food to devour, and perhaps a handsome stranger.

  • The new issue of Edible Boston is all about the bees.  Along with a profile of my favorite Follow the Honey in Cambridge, this edition takes you from restaurant rooftops, to the making of mead, to the bi coastal teenage beekeeper; the stories are full of interesting information about apiculture. Want more? Here's a fun post I wrote about the concept of Hive Design.
Have some armchair travel you'd like to share? Let me know about it in the comments.
