Nudo Has the Perfect Gift for A Tea Lover

Are you struggling with a person on your holiday list for whom it is impossible to find that perfect gift?   Relax, I have a solution, and it is both exotic and delicious!
You might remember the introductory Nudo post I did last year.  After the success of their Adopt and Olive Tree Program, the company has taken the concept to the tea gardens of India. {and you know how I adore India!} Now tea lovers can choose from 5 organic Darjeeling crops, learn the story behind the tea and best of all, receive loose tea from their adopted garden.  From the countryside straight to your door, Darjeeling is considered the champagne of tea.  Nudo has generously donated an Adoption as a giveaway for one of my lucky readers. You'll find each of the teas has a unique flavor, but all are  bright, slightly floral and have a wonderful aroma.
Partnering with local producers, Nudo is breathing new life into the deserted tea gardens of the region.  Using biodynamic and organic farming practices, local farmers have a sustainable solution through the Adopt a Tea Garden program.  The younger generation of farmers and tea pickers are learning skills that families have practiced for generations.

The description on their web site of the various places reads like a travelogue.  Chongtong means ‘the place to drink tea’ and it isn’t hard to see why: this is the ultimate tea garden with a view. On a clear morning you can see Darjeeling town across the valley and in the distance beyond the snow capped peaks of the Himalayas. But often the weather changes quite suddenly, clouds waft up and within minutes even the tea bushes nearby eerily vanish in swathes of damp mist. It is truly beautiful to watch.
The company's blog Darjeeling Diaries has some wonderful stories and photos about India and tea.
The giveaway includes an adoption certificate and tea from the garden of your choice.  Sorry, but this is only open to US residents.  Leave a comment below and you will be entered in the giveaway.  The winner will be announced next Friday, December 20th, 2013.  Even if you don't win, I think this is the perfect gift for any tea lover, and you can download the certificate immediately after purchase or winning, in plenty of time for Christmas!
