Pay It Forward Friday-Passports With Purpose

I'm a tad late to the party, but wanted to let you all know about Passports With Purpose on this Pay it Forward Friday.  This is the final countdown for the last 3 days of their annual fundraiser.  Have you heard about the organization?  Started in 2008, the non-profit was formed as way for the travel blogger community to give back to the places we are lucky enough to visit.  Each year an organization is chosen based on  measurable  and sustainable criteria , bloggers secure fabulous prizes-like Four Seasons Hotel and other resort stays, electronics, tours and travel gear, and readers can buy chances (in the form of a donation)  to win these excellent prizes.  Doesn't that sound like a WIN/WIN for everyone involved?

2010 resulted in an entire village being built in rural India, 2011 two libraries in Zambia through a partnership with Room to Read.  Water.org received over $110,000. in 2012's holiday effort from over 200 travel bloggers.

This years goal is to raise $115.000 to help buildON construct three schools and fund three adult literacy programs in Mali, Africa.  Every $10 donated enters you to win one of the prizes in this catalog - and goes directly to buildOn,whose mission is to break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy through service and education.
