Queen of My Garden

hosta diptic
Few plants {in my garden} are as magnificent on a regular basis as my Giant Hosta.  From the bright, citrusy green stalks that appear in early spring, to the spectacular flowers of July, it pleases on a regular basis.  Its hard to imagine the artichoke like flower transforming into the tall spiky bells a few weeks later, but somehow, Mother Nature works her magic and this plant has garnered a welcome spot  in my garden. Even after the bloom is gone, the giant leaves provide color and contrast for the rest of the season.  What is the showstopper in your garden?
