Follow Friday- Elsa Mora

Today I’d like to introduce you to Elsa Mora, an incredibly talented multi-media artist living in LA.  In addition to all of the artwork she produces, Elsa is the author of 4 additional blogs about her paper cutting, handmade dolls, her miniature books and her wonderful sense of personal style.  Each one carries her handmade eclectic aesthetic and is worthy of a visit!  The big imagination she wished for as a child, is clearly something she always possessed, and as you visit her sites, it is obvious she tries to find the positive in everything that comes her way.  She is certainly an inspiration to me.  The piece featured here, is her first ?! piece of embroidery and I’d say she can add that talent to a long list of others  The theme of the piece is about a women that feels lost and is trying to find herself.  Be sure to look closely at all the detail she has added.

Yay! My first adventure in embroidery as art is finished. This piece has been already purchased by an art collector. It will be leaving for the new home very soon. The shadow box measures: 11" x 15" x 1 3/4".
I cannot wait to start my second project in this exciting medium.
Have a wonderful day!
Elsita :)
